“When FEAR knocks, let FAITH open the door!”
I first read the above quote at my friend Anita’s place. I fell in love with it. Pondering over the meaning, I found the profoundness unnerving. Why? I had realised the poignancy of these words! This was one quote that can stand by you in your times of peril. It can help you see the futility of worry.
Much as science has developed, it cannot undermine the greater science of intuition or the power of the subconscious mind. Where is the key to creation?
Well it is in the so called “MIND”.
Then comes the question-Can we define MIND?
My understanding as a lay person is that it is the consciousness of the cognitive and non- cognitive process happening in the physical brain. Understanding another quote, “Thought become Things” I realised that my reality is created by the conscious and subconscious thoughts I had. This leads me to another quote by Napolean Hill, “Whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve.”
So how do we create our reality? My tried and tested methods of CREATIVE VISUALIZATION has given me immense belief in the fact that we create our reality. If doubt knocks……send Faith. So we come back to where we began.
Just as life being a circle, we keep coming back to certain things in life. The reason why we may not be able to create the life we want is because of the Fear of…… What if things go wrong? At every stage of life there is a possibility or an impossibility. What will you choose? The feeling of helplessness or the feeling of being able to take charge?
When you take charge you are operating from FAITH and when you give up you are operating from FEAR. Fear is the absence of knowledge. So the practical step would be to gain knowledge. This also one of the reasons why I started courses on Emotional Intelligence.
It actually is a choice you have to take and the choices you take most often depend on the way you have trained the mind to function. You can take an audit of how frequently have you chosen to be a “Victor” over the desire to be a “Victim”.
It is not so difficult as you may think it to be. You can make a conscious choice to feel what you want to. It does take a lot of patience, awareness and consistency to train you mind to be objective and positive in every situation in life.
It’s easy for some but difficult for many. Which group do you want to be in?
Make a conscious choice to manage your emotions to help you and not harm you. When does your emotions harm you? When they are in excess, when they are not managed well and when they are not allowed to follow the natural release through the body. Research has shown that no emotion lasts in the body for more than 90 seconds. If you feel the emotions beyond that you are holding on to it.
Most of us give undue importance to our emotions and think that being overwhelmed by it is natural. No it is not. It’s just that we have not been taught how to handle our emotions. School and college education had no subject on emotional intelligence. It is high time that we realise the importance of emotional intelligence which is more important than the rational intelligence. No wonder that success is more dependent on emotional intelligence.
When you have a challenge, don’t get overridden by what may go wrong but seek how can you set it right and find a solution. Remember FAITH and FEAR both are in your mind. Make faith your friend. Let Faith always be on the forefront and lead you to your best reality. Well if FEAR knocks…You know what’s to be done!
